The promise of monkeys is what brought us to Costa Rica. By the time our days in Playa Junquillal had drawn to a close, not only had we delighted in the antics of howler monkeys, we'd chanced upon a prehistorically-gigantic bug, a husky on the beach in 90-degree heat, a couple of pugilist piggies, and many more costa creatures.
